Michael Dossett came to British Columbia in 2011 after completing his Masters and PhD in Horticulture at Oregon State University with the Corvallis USDA-ARS small fruit breeding program. Since 2013, he has led Blueberry, Raspberry, and Strawberry breeding efforts for the BC Industry in partnership with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. This program emphasizes the development and practical application of molecular and statistical tools for the development of new varieties that will meet the needs of growers and consumers.
