Dan joined FleishmanHillard in 1994 and has led the Sacramento office for the past 15 years. Dan is one of the firm’s most respected corporate strategists and crisis counselors and has served in that role for a wide array of brands, co-ops, commodity organizations and companies. His crisis clients include Blue Diamond Growers, Bumble Bee, the California Prune Board, the California Olive Committee, the Hass Avocado Board, Kubota Tractor Corporation, the Produce Marketing Association (PMA), Tillamook, and The Wine Group. He has been a featured speaker at the California Safe Food Conference each of the past three years.

Dan is a former television anchor and reporter and served as a spokesperson and speechwriter for three different governors in the state of Missouri. Regarding crisis management, Dan has handled almost every issue imaginable ranging from product recalls to plant accidents to environmental violations and immigration issues. He is also one of the firm’s most experienced media trainers and has worked with growers, commodity board members, CEOs, CMOs, celebrities, and chefs to help them all effectively deliver messages to the media and other key stakeholders.
